Which roofing material is the best?

Choosing the best material for your roof is more of a matter of personal preference than it is a question of which is best. Do you prefer the natural look of cedar shakes? Would you prefer to have the easy maintenance of asphalt shingles? Do you want the durability of metal roofing?

These are just a few of the questions you can ask yourself before deciding making that important decision a material.

How long will my new roof last?

The general rule of thumb with asphalt shingles is that they will last about 20 years. This really depends on the weather conditions of where you live and how well the roof is taken care of. If you choose metal roofing, you can get many more years out of your investment.

Which color should I choose?

Choosing a color is fun, but some people can become overwhelmed. Look in your neighborhood, what roofs do you like? Would that color work with your siding color?  Find similar homes and take pictures of their roofs or even knock on their door and ask. If you need some initial help getting started, read our guide to choosing the right roofing color. Otherwise, Of course, we are more than happy to advise you on a color that will fit your home when we come out to give you an estimate too.

Will I need to replace the gutters, skylights, vents, etc.?

In general, the job can take a few days, but our team will be able to give you a more exact timeframe when they see the size and scope of the work needed to be completed on your home.
